Minister Daniella Cabello urged to consolidate the East of the country as a tourist block

The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, urged this Friday, September 25, to consolidate the East of the country as a comprehensive offer for national and international tourism.

During his speech at the forum “Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Community Tourism Management in the Redesign of Tourism in Venezuela”, held in the state of Monagas, he said that “we must show ourselves as a multi-destination block that has the capacity to attract national and international tourists; for this reason, we have the strength of the eastern axis Anzoátegui, Monagas and Sucre as a single destination”.

He also emphasized the strategy of the National Executive to decentralize training and high-level activities outside the country's capital, positioning the capital of Monagua as the epicenter of debate and innovation for the sector in the eastern region. “Maturín is today's epicenter of Eastern Venezuela,” he said.

Cabello also highlighted the benefits that the development of community tourism represents for each region. “We have great strength in community tourism, linked to projects and the renewal of community voices. We want to continue promoting the projects and routes that emerge from these proposals and new community voices,” he insisted.

For his part, the governor of the state of Monagas, Ernesto Luna, highlighted the need to articulate strategic efforts between the states of the East to make visible their megadiversity and cultural wealth.

Luna pointed out that the consolidation of the area as an economic and productive node is based on three pillars: infrastructure, services and training.

The meeting, which brought together authorities from Anzoátegui, Sucre and Monagas, together with representatives of tourist chambers and students, served as a showcase for local projects based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and community development.

Among the experiences presented, the Encanto Tourist Route promoted by the Las Parcelas de Caripito Commune and the advances made by the Águeda Chocolate and Business School in the Bolívar municipality stood out.
