Bolivarian Government intensifies fumigation days to prevent dengue fever in Cojedes

The
Ministry of People's Power for Health intensified fumigation days
in Cojedes state, to combat the
Aedes aegypti mosquito, which transmits dengue.
According to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Última Noticias
(UN), this action is part of the National Plan for the Prevention and
Control of Dengue and is especially concentrated in the municipalities of Rómulo
Gallegos, Tinaquillo and Ezequiel Zamora.
In this regard, Manuel Rodríguez, the single health authority in Cojedes, specified that in
these municipalities “intense days of blockade, abatement and
fumigation are being carried out, in communities and also in public institutions,
protecting more than 5 thousand people from Cojedes.”
He also
explained that they recently served 1,170 inhabitants of the
La Candelaria II sectors of the Tinaquillo municipality; Las Delicias in the Rómulo
Gallegos municipality and Retazo III in the Ezequiel Zamora municipality.
Finally,
he noted that with the intensification of the days, it is expected to
significantly reduce cases of dengue fever in the region, thus ensuring the health and
well-being of its citizens, the media said.
