Bolivarian Government of Zulia reinforces waste collection with new units in Maracaibo

With three new compactor units (trucks), three dump trucks, seven tribikes and 150 new manual sweeping workers, the Bolivarian government of the state of Zulia reinforces the sanitation plan of the state's capital city.

The president of the Municipal Institute of Urban Cleaning (IMAU), Joemel Robles, reported that the incorporation of these vehicles and human resources will add 75 tons to the daily waste collection that is already being done in Maracaibo.

According to a press release from the local government, the sweepers will be distributed in some fixed areas, such as San Jacinto, Cristo de Aranza parish and Curva de Molina; among other sectors, and night crews will be enabled for the central area: Libertador Avenue, Páez Street, Right Street and all the streets in the center.
