The Bolivarian Government, in conjunction with the Integrated Defense Operational Zone (ZODI), began inspection in the San Fernando municipality of the state of Apure, in response to the inhabitants following the rainfall recorded in the state of Apure.

In a report by Venezolana de Televisión, it points out that the damage occurred in the road artery vital to daily traffic and the local economy, which was damaged, in turn putting surrounding communities at risk, and during the inspection of representatives of Venezuelan State agencies, the urgency of carrying out containment works in the affected areas was evidenced.

At the site, the commander of ZODI No. 31 of Apure, Daniel Alfonso Galarraga, stressed that the work also contemplates the terrain using engineering techniques with the objective of preserving life and protecting infrastructures before rains.

The authorities deployed heavy machinery including a pickup truck, a backhoe, a welding machine and two thousand sandbags in order to mitigate the effects of heavy rainfall, as well as to avoid total collapse of the road, which connects important economic sectors in the region, especially those coming from the Apure River.
