The Las Tapias 2 deep well was fully operational, an important hydraulic infrastructure project, whose main objective is to guarantee the continuous and optimal supply of drinking water to a total of 1,755 families belonging to six communities in the state of Yaracuy.
The work was coordinated between the Ministry of Popular Water Power (MINAGUAS) and the Mayor's Office of the municipality of San Felipe, according to the Venezolana de Televisión website.
The technical tasks were comprehensively carried out by the Multidisciplinary Water Team. The work included the installation of a 15-horsepower (HP) motor and pump, as well as the total replacement of the electrical components of the system.
Due to this intervention, the water source began to generate an operating flow of six liters per second to directly restore service in the sectors: Tapias 2 and 3, Oscar Escudero, Las Casitas, Humberto Silva and Rinconcito. These sectors are part of the María Valentina Pinto Socialist Commune, whose inhabitants celebrated the implementation of the system.
The resident of the area, Milanyela Martínez, expressed the community's satisfaction with the prompt government response. “We are very happy with the reactivation of this well; thanks to the National Government for providing these teams. Count on this revolutionary people, who are fighting to work together and guarantee good public service in communities,” he said.
