Bolivarian Government restores vehicle traffic on the El Junquito-Colonia Tovar highway

The Ministry of Popular Power for Transport reported on the restoration of vehicle traffic on the El Junquito-Colonia Tovar highway, after the work carried out as a result of the collapse of a wall in the La Ballesta sector due to recent earthquakes.

Specialized teams completed the construction of a new containment system with a gabion wall, designed to withstand future seismic events and adverse weather conditions.

In addition, the actions included the controlled dismantling of unstable sections, the sanitation of the area, the recovery of stone material and the formation of slopes to ensure safe conditions in the affected section.

With these engineering tasks, connectivity and passage through this important terrestrial communication route were restored.
