Bolivarian Government sets up temporary camp in El Cafetal to serve families affected by earthquakes

In compliance with the instructions of the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, the National Government set up a temporary camp at the facilities of the Josefa Irausquín López National Educational Unit, located in El Cafetal, Baruta municipality, the Ministry of Popular Power for Electric Energy highlighted on its Instagram account.

This new shelter space is formally integrated into the network of temporary shelters provided by the Venezuelan Government, whose primary objective is to guarantee safe, decent and adequate living conditions for the population that was affected by the seismological events recorded in the country on June 24.

The school infrastructure was meticulously equipped to provide comprehensive and direct care to an estimated 100 affected families. For this purpose, the facility was equipped with large accommodation areas, bathroom and laundry services, an industrial-scale kitchen and refrigeration systems for food preservation, facilities that are complemented by a primary health care module, children's recreation areas and a permanent surveillance device to protect the safety of citizens.

Additionally, the authorities structured a continuous supply scheme that ensures the daily supply of food, drinking water and various essential supplies to ensure the well-being of families throughout their stay in the place.

For its part, the technical adaptation and optimization of the spaces were carried out directly by the Ministry of People's Power for Electric Energy, through the coordination and operational deployment of its affiliated bodies.

In this regard, the specialized staff of the Foundation for the Development of the Electric Service (FUNDELEC) remains active in the facilities of the school in order to provide the required technical support and ensure the proper and continuous operation of all essential public services, all while the general reconstruction and recovery works in the communities affected by the contingency are progressing in parallel.
