Brazil hosts the 1st International Anti-Fascist Conference for the Sovereignty of Peoples

With the participation of delegations from more than 30 countries, the 1st International Anti-Fascist Conference for the Sovereignty of Peoples began in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil, from March 26 to 29, 2026, with the objective of articulating a collective response to the advance of neofascism and the extreme right at the global level.

The event is positioned as a space for global articulation in the face of the advance of extreme right-wing currents in the current political scene.

The meeting brings together a wide variety of social movements and political organizations under a common objective: the construction of a united front to combat neofascism and imperialism, phenomena that the organizers point out as direct threats to the self-determination of nations.

During the working days, international delegates will address critical points of the contemporary political agenda, highlighting mass struggle, strategies for popular mobilization and resistance from the territories.

In the institutional role, the role of parties and representatives in spaces of power to curb authoritarian agendas, regional sovereignty, where strategic alliances will be strengthened in the face of external pressures and the control of strategic resources.

This forum seeks to transcend the complaint, focusing on the creation of a road map that allows organizations around the world to coordinate concrete actions in defense of democracy and social justice.
