Last Wednesday, a judge of the Brazilian supreme court ordered billionaire Elon Musk to appoint a new representative of his social network X within 24 hours or else the platform will be suspended.

Alexandre de Moraes , magistrate of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), urged Musk to indicate “within 24 hours the name and qualification of X's new legal representative in Brazil.”

The decision was published on the STF account through the social network X, in the message he tagged Musk's users and the company.

On August 19, Musk accused Moraes of being a “dictator” of threatening to imprison his employees, and announced the immediate closure of X's operations in Brazil.

The company then said that it was closing its operations in Brazil due to the judge's actions but kept the service available to citizens of the country.
