The Community Military Brigades (BRICOMILES) carried out the total restoration of the José Enrique Rodó Bolivarian Basic School in the 23 de Enero parish of Caracas, said the capital's mayor, Carmen Meléndez.

The improvement work, as reported by the burgomaster, included both classrooms, the kitchen, the dining room, the laboratories, as well as the sports and cultural areas, for the benefit of 250 children.

In this regard, during a contact with Venezolana de Televisión, Meléndez highlighted the collaboration between organized Popular Power and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces to achieve this goal.

“I want to recognize the leaders of the 23 de Enero parish who were daily supervising and helping the recovery of this institution,” Melendez said.

For her part, the Minister of Education, Yelitze Santaella, expressed her satisfaction with the BRICOMILES initiative to optimize educational and health facilities in the country.
