Diosdado Cabello said that Non-Governmental Organizations ( NGOs) have nothing to do with the negotiations between the United States and Venezuela, much less about the recent release of a group of people linked to acts of violence in the country.

“A group of people linked to the acts of violence of July 28, 2024 and January 10 of this year were released and that caught the blessed NGOs by surprise (...) they don't know anything, they were worse off than (Nayib) Bukele,” he said during his show Con el Mazo Dando No. 536.

With regard to the release of violent persons, the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace specified “that these NGOs, every time someone comes out, take credit that they were the ones who achieved the release and the relatives go like idiots and give money to the lawyers of those NGOs”.

He reaffirmed that NGOs are not taken into account in these processes, on the contrary, “it is a decision of the Venezuelan justice system and NGOs have nothing to do with it.”

At the same time, he added that organizations such as Foro Pena are “cool”. In addition, he added that longliners who come out to defend the position of NGOs also charge for it.
