This Wednesday, September 25, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that Venezuela's achievement of achieving the Millennium Goals established by the United Nations (UN), for the year 2015, “put us in the sights of imperialism, because that's a bad example for them, that's why they attack us.”
“Venezuela more than met the Millennium Goals,” he highlighted during his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 496.
He argued that the ability to achieve that goal makes the United States uncomfortable, because of the example given to the world, “that's why they attack us, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and they see us as if we are the targets. In fact, we are the targets”,
The Millennium Development Goals, also known as the Millennium Goals (MDGs), are eight human development goals set in the year 2000, which the 189 member countries of the United Nations agreed to achieve by 2015.
