Cabello called for active and prolonged resistance to external threats

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, urged strengthening a new phase of the Bolivarian Revolution through active, prolonged and offensive resistance to repeated threats from the United States government.

During the Extraordinary Plenary of PSUV, Cabello emphasized that “the defense of the Homeland is not a burden, it is an honor that every Venezuelan must assume with conviction.” In this regard, he emphasized that resistance is not limited to the military sphere, but involves all social sectors: teachers, doctors, workers, peasants, young people, women and older adults.

“Active resistance isn't just sitting around waiting to see what happens. It's being on permanent offense. Let them not see us, but let them feel us. Anywhere, anytime. They will never be prepared for a protracted war. Someday they will have to set foot on Venezuelan soil, and there they will know what this town is made of,” he said.

Cabello called for the consolidation of a united national front, with a great international alliance, convinced that the Venezuelan cause is a just cause: the cause of freedom.

“Whoever believes that this is only with Venezuela, is wrong. They go for everyone. And whoever does not raise their voice today to defend peace in our America will be the target of that great aggressor tomorrow,” he warned.

He recalled that the Bolivarian Revolution came to power through democratic means, through popular vote, and that the Venezuelan people have a government responsible for their rights and sovereignty.
