The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said on Monday that the victory of President Nicolás Maduro in the elections of next July 28 is in the interest of all the people.

During the usual weekly press conference of the red awning, Cabello stressed that the Head of State “is deployed all over the country delivering works, in direct contact with our people, running, jumping, jumping dancing, physically active (...) even the opposition that is out there should be a better chance that Nicolás Maduro wins, for them it would be peace of mind”.

In this regard, he pointed out that “when an opposition leader threatens Chavism, as they did yesterday in the way they did, they are trying to provoke acts of violence”, referring to the statements of extremism in the framework of the electoral simulation on Sunday, June 30.

“We are not afraid of elections (...) we know what needs to be done and we are doing it,” emphasized the senior leader of the PSUV.
