This Wednesday, December 4th, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, recalled that in the Fourth Republic the debt of businessmen and bankers was assumed by the State and we paid it together.
In his Con El Mazo Dando program, he recalled that in those years the bankers stole the people's money and the ruling politicians helped them and gave them more money to pay for, but they stole it again and then they did it again.
“Thieves! Here those governments seized the private debt of the Venezuelan bourgeoisie and assumed it as if it were public and we had to pay it together,” he recalled.
He pointed out that “the debt of the surnames: Machado, Zuloaga that they had with foreign banks in dollars was assumed by the national government and had to be paid by the people. The middle class was suffocated and was being swallowed up, but Chávez came and got him back.”
