Cabello: In the Fourth Republic, Venezuela was obliged to sell oil to the US at a discount

“In the Fourth Republic, the United States was the only country in the world to which Venezuela was obliged to sell oil at a discount (...) around two dollars below the sales price to other countries,” recalled the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón.
During the broadcast of his Con El Mazo Dando program this Wednesday, June 26, he said that “in the last 25 years the United States has had this difficult situation.”
“In recent days, President Nicolás Maduro said that we have all the oil that the United States needs, but the only thing is that he has to pay for it in cash,” he said, adding that the North American nation is close, but that “they can't think of the pilgrim idea of coming to Venezuela to think that they can get the oil and take it or invade Venezuela. Don't even believe it!”
“Come if you want, but we sell it to you at the price of the international market,” he said.
