Cabello: In Venezuela's democracy, the people play a leading role every day

Diosdado Cabello, during his Con El Mazo Dando program, emphasized that although each country has a type of democracy in that of Venezuela, the People play a leading role.

“The first Revocation Referedum against a president in the world was held here, in this land, where we don't say that we have more democracy than anyone else, each country has its forms and methods, but here every day there is an exercise of participatory democracy and protagonist of our people,” said Cabello.

The leader highlighted the electoral campaign for the presidential recall referendum, which took place on August 15, 2004.

This was the first democratic test of its kind in the political history of the Republic, thanks to the Constitution approved in free elections on December 15, 1999, which made it possible for the nation to learn about this new electoral mechanism.
