This Sunday, December 15, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, called on the People to come out and participate and vote in the elections of the judges of the peace in their communities.

“We must actively participate, it is Popular Power growing more and more in its reach, growing more and more every day as the Bolivarian Revolution deepens. Our brother President Nicolás Maduro has called for participation in the more than 5 thousand Community Circuits to elect more than 30 thousand judges, including principals and alternates,” Cabello said in a voice note shared by the PSUV Telegram channel.

He also pointed out that the election of justices of the peace in each sector and community of the country, “is so that justice begins to emerge from where justice must come out, right there in the community.” At the same time, he recalled that “Maestro Simón Rodríguez called that the Toparchy, local power; and Commander Hugo Chávez called it our communes, the popular organization at the grassroots.”

He reaffirmed that the call this Sunday is “for active participation, in every corner of Venezuela (...) it is a grassroots task, the call is for all the parties of the Great Patriotic Pole, the PSUV with its strength, to participation and to give clarity to this act, to respect the results and good to start with our participatory and leading democracy, where the People assume control and power”.
