This Wednesday, August 27, the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, assured that the country's children should feel that they are their friends, questioning those who attract the attention of the infants, saying: “You have to behave well, if not, I'll call the police.”

“Be careful with that (...) you can't tell children that, you have to tell children that the police are our friends, that when they have a problem on the street, that they talk to the policeman who is going to help them, that policeman is there to help,” he said during his Con El Mazo Dando No. 540 program.

He stressed that young people already see police officers, noting that they have served as examples for them to continue their training.

In this regard, he indicated that proof of this is that applications for admission to the National Experimental Security University (UNES) have increased to 26,000 this semester, while last year it was only about 8,000.

In addition, he added that thanks to this, careers were opened that previously had only two or three people studying, “for example, prison police, for civil protection, which were few, now there are an enormous number of boys; then the number of young people to enter almost tripled,” he said.
