During Con El Mazo Dando's 548th program, Diosdado Cabello noted that Cardinal Baltazar Porras went to the Vatican with the goal of becoming the protagonist on October 19, in order to divert attention from the canonization ceremony of José Gregorio Hernández.
“Baltazar Porras went there to do what he knows how to do: to be the protagonist and not José Gregorio Hernández; let him be the news and not the canonization of José Gregorio Hernández,” said Cabello.
The leader stressed that this behavior has been in Porras' management for some time at the head of the church and that his actions helped delay the official recognition of the Doctor of the Poor as a saint.
“That's what he did and what he has done for years while he has been at the head of the Catholic Church in Venezuela: to prevent José Gregorio Hernández from being a saint, he did was to prevent and delay,” he stressed.
