The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, referred to the rescue of the 252 Venezuelans who were kidnapped in El Salvador by Nayib Bukele and assured that “we did what a responsible government does.”
During his Con El Mazo Dando program, he warned of a campaign that seeks to create a narrative around alleged cruel treatment against mercenaries and terrorists who were being held in Venezuela and revealed that there is documentation and evidence that undermine this attempt to discredit the Venezuelan Government.
“A note has already come out from the EFE agency in which they denounce alleged torture suffered by American detainees who were in the country under negotiation (...). This is documented and signed by them, in English and in Spanish, saying how they treated them, what level of treatment they received, because now comes the narrative of saying that they were mistreated since that is the complaint we have,” he explained.
He did not hesitate to denounce that behind this narrative of alleged mistreatment against Americans is Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele as part of an operation that seeks to “lower the volume of what awaits him” for the crimes committed against Venezuelans kidnapped in the concentration camp he maintains in this Central American country.
