The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed that the Commission for the Judicial Revolution, promoted by the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, is for the offensive and review of the entire judicial system in the country.
“This commission began here in the National Assembly, the proposal was made and in the midst of the offensive of the judicial system, our president has launched this initiative to review everything we need to review about the judicial system,” Cabello said during the Working Meeting for the Judicial Revolution.
He specified that the review not only contemplates the laws, but also “the situation of each of those deprived of their liberty, how the system works”, stressing that within it are police officers and judges who are a fundamental part.
At the same time, he took the opportunity to recall that, during the first phase of the Judicial Revolution, which began in 2021, justice was brought to a large number of Venezuelans, after it was detected that the population was overstretched in prisons.
“At that time, more than 83,000 people across the country, at that time, the magistrates were distributed, the country was organized into seven regions and for each region it was a work team that did the task and it was an arduous task,” he said, noting that in this first phase it was possible to reduce the number of people who were detained in preventive centers by 40%.
