This Monday, December 16, the first vice-president
of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón,
assured that the extreme right “does not believe in democracy, they do not believe in Popular Power
or in the Constitution.”
In this regard, during
the PSUV press conference, he pointed out that this political sector only believes in is its old representative
democracy, the one that, with the Punto Fijo Pact, created a
Constitution tailored to it.
He emphasized that it was Commander Hugo Chávez
who broke with that to give power to the People. “He summoned the Original
Constituent Power and they went to a consultation and it was an election and a Referendum
was held; which by the way yesterday marked 25 years of this Constitution,
25 years of real democracy,” he said.
“This Town is the driver of its own destiny, which is why we are very happy with the leading role of the People,” he said , stressing that with the election of the Judges and Justices of the Peace, the networks are expanding to continue to guarantee tranquility throughout the country.
