The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, this Wednesday, December 18, ratified once again, in the face of the innumerable social achievements of the Bolivarian Revolution for the well-being and quality of life of the People, “it is not so much what we have achieved but what we could achieve”.
This is what he said when commenting that this is one of Commander Hugo Chávez's maxims, and to highlight as an example of these achievements, that “in 25 years of Revolution, 53 universities have been created, more than two per year. Only in Revolution is it possible.”
In this regard, he specified that the Bolivarian Government recently inaugurated the Dr. Humberto Fernández Morán University of Sciences, “beautiful facilities there in Los Teques”.
Citing an example, he commented that “I always refer to the issue of seats in universities, because that is tangible, it's palpable, today a boy graduates from high school and has his place guaranteed, he's going to study at a university. It wasn't like that before, there was no room for students.”
“What Commander Chávez says about going from 300,000 to two million 400,000 university students, because the doors were opened,” he emphasized in his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 508.
He also argued that only in Revolution is it possible to “end the housing problem” and recalled the way of proceeding of the extremist right when it came to the National Assembly (AN), “in 2015, the first law it approved privatized the housing that the Bolivarian Government had already done.”
“Julio Borges, immediately following the order of the bankers, so that they could seize the houses that the Revolution made for the People,” he stressed.
Cabello also addressed the issue of health, that the extremist opposition to coming to power would privatize the health centers created by the Bolivarian Revolution.
In terms of sports, he stressed that it was Commander Chávez who promoted and supported the country's athletes, “he stuck his face out and put his chest out for all Venezuelan women, with love for good and taught many of us how to do it.”
