The first vice-president of the Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, at the press conference of his political organization, assured this Monday that those arrested for violent acts following the presidential elections of July 28 were abandoned by the right.
“Regarding the releases here, there were terrorist acts, there was violence and a number of Venezuelans were arrested with the aggravating circumstance that they recorded themselves, were published on the networks,” said Cabello.
The first vice-president recalled that violent groups paid for by the right wing “instilled terror in the People so that people would be frightened”, in this sense, he stressed that the Revolution's response was: “We are on the street, the streets belong to the People, not yours, they are not the terrorists'!”
Regarding the arrests, Cabello said that they were forgotten by those who led them to those terrorist acts, since “they were left alone, they don't care about the fate of those who are detained because of them, they don't care. Many manipulated criminals, who promised that they would later be exonerated of all the crimes they had committed, that's why they killed people.”
In this context, he assured that to this day it has become clear that no State body is linked to the deaths after the elections where President Nicolás Maduro was the winner.
