According to Diosdado Cabello, first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), “the best printed newspaper in Venezuela is the Correo del Orinoco.

“I have no doubts!” , he said during his Con El Mazo Dando program where he commented that “I read newspapers, I have done it all my life; when I was little my dad brought the newspaper home -in El Furrial - and I read it. These days I recognized him and even commented to the president and now Nicolás reads newspapers too.”

He added that “believe it or not, printed newspapers say things that networks don't do. In the Correo del Orinoco they write the best writers who are geniuses and they shed light on how to move forward or on where the right is coming from”.

The psuvist leader sent greetings to the editor of the newspaper Desireé Santos Amaral, as well as to her workers, and invited them to read.
