The sectoral vice-president of Policy, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, recalled this Friday that the creation of the Integral Rehabilitation Rooms (SRI) and Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI) were the ideas of Commander Hugo Chávez and Commander Fidel Castro to provide care to the People.
“This was the idea of Commander Fidel Castro and Commander Chávez when they started Barrio Adentro, good for treating those colleagues who suffered injuries,” he said during the inauguration of SRI Dr. Rafael Rangel in Trujillo.
He referred to the fact that, at the time, to implement these ideas, a survey was carried out across the country house by house.
“At that time, more than 360,000 people came out, children, women, men, who required direct rehabilitation care, and these two geniuses Fidel and Chávez, these two exceptional human beings, Chávez and Fidel, said this must be put in Venezuela, since Cuba had them,” he emphasized, stressing that the Mayor of the Antilles is a power in rehabilitation.
He reaffirmed that this is possible only in Revolution because the People rule. “And today the People are given what the People asked for, what the People ordered,” he said.
