Cabello to future police officers: You should always be close to the people

The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted this Thursday the importance of each person who is part of the structure of the country's new police forces.

During the inauguration of the new headquarters of the National Experimental Security University (UNES), in Maturín, Monagas state, Cabello praised the women who are responsible for making the uniforms. “It's good that they see the ladies who are there in Caracas that it's up to them to do them, that they can be their mothers, they can be their grandmothers and they are working as part of the structure of our new police forces,” he said.

He also pointed out that just as students must become familiar with firearms, “they must also become familiar with good treatment of citizens (...) You should always be close to the People, holding hands with the People, that the People feel that when they see a policeman they are in good hands, that when they see a firefighter they know that there is an official who gives his life for the lives of others,” he said.
