Cabello to leaders Petro and Lula: Our President Maduro is the champion of peace

During the press conference of the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), the first vice-president of the political organization, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, is the champion of peace.

Cabello Rondón's statements respond to the leaders of Brazil and Colombia, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Gustavo Petro, who asked President Maduro to conclude a political peace agreement.

“I think that presidents Petro and Lula have to ask the opposition for that, the president of peace is Nicolás Maduro; Nicolás Maduro has worked tirelessly for peace (...) our president is the champion of peace,” he said.

In this regard, he stressed that the opposition is the one who has generated situations of violence in the country. “Nicolás Maduro did not ask for invasions, Nicolás Maduro is not the one who asked for TIAR, sanctions, blockades; they are the lords of the opposition,” he emphasized.

He exalted that the National President has always taken decisions regarding the different calls for dialogue for the good of all Venezuelans.
