The sectoral
vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace,
Diosdado Cabello Rondón, emphasized that Venezuela is a country that loves tranquility and
peace, but that it will always demand respect for its sovereignty, independence and freedom.
“We are lovers
of peace, but every country that respects itself has to respect its sovereignty, freedom and independence,
that's all we ask for: respect,” he said
during the Adaptation of the Peace Quadrants in Yaracuy state.
At the same time, he highlighted
that the crime rate in Venezuela stands at 2.66 per 100,000
inhabitants, referring to the fact that the Bolivarian Government works for the peace
and tranquility of the people. In addition, he recalled that during the Fourth Republic
it was totally different, pointing out that on a weekend there could be up to 40 murders in Caracas alone and that there were young people who were killed because of a pair of shoes.
“We must remember this,
but today Venezuela is a territory of peace, you can go anywhere
(...) here in Venezuela you are calm, if you are not doing anything wrong,
keep behaving that way, if you start doing something bad, know that the
institutions of the State will be waiting,” he said and said how a
foreigner feels calmer in our country than in Europe.
He also assured
that with the equipment that is being delivered this Tuesday, September 30,
together with the work of the cameras, the 911 line and the provision of men and
women of our Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the police force,
plus our people, the Yaracuy state will be a safe territory.
“I am sure that we are going to have a Yaracuy of zero crime, of zero crime and whoever thinks he is going to come here to take advantage of some circumstances, knows that he is going to find a wall, a really big wall,” he said.
