This Wednesday, June 10, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted that the revision of the judicial system is a task that the Bolivarian Government undertakes without any kind of complexity.
“It's a deep, comprehensive review,
not only do we assume this without complexity (...) we've never had complexes to
deal with things, ever!” , he said, with regard to people who like
to go out to talk to question this type of action.
He reaffirmed that the proof that this work of
the Judicial Revolution is carried out without problem, is that thanks to the
first phase that was carried out, “there are no pranes in any prison in Venezuela, whoever
wants to can go and check.”
He specified that one of the problems
delaying the process is that there were no judges to try the detainees. “There were
people who were in prison because they stole some sheets of zinc and then no one
appeared to judge him, but as long as there was no one to judge him or
while he was the prosecution, the person remained in detention,” he said.
Regarding this situation, he commented that almost 70% of those arrested at this time are being defended by public defense. “That speaks volumes about who is being detained, the person who is being held does not even have enough to afford a lawyer, so they go to the public defense, which should rather be the exception. Who is the justice system pointing at?” , he said when reaffirming that this is why it is a profound revision.
