The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said this Thursday that “everything is worth defending the Fatherland, except being an idiot, as if nothing was happening”, referring to the fact that the call for military enlistment in the face of imperialist aggressions was answered even by sectors that are not militant in the red curtain.

He emphasized that, following the example of the Father of the Fatherland, Simon Bolivar, Venezuela's response will be none other than “other than the annihilation of whoever sets foot here.”

Bolivar said it, Diosdado doesn't say it: 'The hatred that the peninsula has inspired us is greater than the sea that separates us from it'; And why? For the aggressions of the Spanish Empire at the time against Venezuela. And if Bolivar said it at that time against the Spanish Empire, what should we say today against the North American Empire? Exactly the same thing,” he said.

He reaffirmed that today the PSUV assumes its vanguard role in defense of the Homeland, to become the revolutionary party that Commander Hugo Chávez dreamed and drew. “We will be at the forefront of any electoral, political, military and struggle for independence of whatever it is,” he said.

In addition, he called not to be carried away by the psychological campaigns promoted by imperialism and its lackeys. “Here they are going to attack us and we must prepare to defend this Homeland (...) that they see us as a solid block,” he said.

He reaffirmed that today more than ever it is time to fulfill the Commander by answering his call for “unity, struggle, battle and victory. Unity of the Patriots, said Hugo Chávez, a unit of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and a unit of the Great Patriotic Pole,” he added.
