The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said on Tuesday that the “Venezuelan has a tough skin”, stressing that despite the sanctions this is a people that is moving forward.

“In the midst of this situation, entrepreneurs have risen up all over Venezuela with government support (...) so let's think: What would happen if Venezuela had neither blockades nor sanctions? Well, we would be in a completely different situation of development, well-being and progress for the country,” he said during the Great Caravan for a Venezuela Free of Sanctions in Trujillo.

He also assured that the growth that Venezuela is committed to is that of equality, in which all sectors develop.

In this regard, he stressed that during his visit to Trujillo state he met with the People's Power to hear their experience, who have been hit by sanctions and the blockade against Venezuela.

In addition, he recalled that, during the pandemic, the country made a great effort to obtain vaccines and drugs to treat patients with Covid-19, “but Venezuela suffered a terrible blockade at that time that prevented medicines from being brought, and it was achieved, however; and no one was asked for a political card to be treated, on the contrary, everyone who arrived was vaccinated to ensure the health of Venezuelans.”
