Candidate Gian Carlo Di Martino proposes to create the Foreign Trade Institute in Maracaibo

The candidate for mayor of Maracaibo, in the state of Zulia, for the Simon Bolivar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB), Gian Carlo Di Martino, announced that, if elected in the next elections on July 27, he will create the Municipal Institute of Foreign Trade.

In this regard, during a meeting with 250 representatives of the entity's business community, he expressed the need to give impetus to the commercial and industrial economy in the capital of Zulia, which, he stressed, has great capacities and potential to be at the forefront of economic and development.

He indicated that the creation of this institute is carried out with the legal conditions concurrent with the three levels of government: national, regional and municipal, reported the Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) portal.

He also explained that once this instance is created, it will be linked to the plan for the creation of the Maracaibo Special Economic Zone (ZEE).

“The purpose of the creation of the Maracaibo Special Economic Zone is to promote industrial, agro-industrial, commercial, tourist, service, scientific, technological, agricultural and human talent productive activity, as dynamic and articulating elements of this promotion,” he said.

He also pointed out that the Maracaibo Mayor's Office will offer legal support and initiatives aimed at promoting investment and entrepreneurship, with the issuance of a municipal ordinance to streamline the administrative processes of commercial exchange, such as the single box office.
