After the earthquakes recorded on June 24, CANTV completed the first phase of the special connectivity plan for the state of La Guaira, completing the requirements requested by the institutions responsible for emergency care.
To meet this objective, the company formed a multidisciplinary team that deployed state-of-the-art technological solutions throughout the entity, achieving the link through the Aba Ultra services of the 17 temporary camps intended for the care of affected families, as well as 18 strategic spaces for the coordination of response efforts.
During this deployment, more than 17 kilometers of optical fiber were installed, which made it possible to provide high-speed connectivity, IP telephony and WiFi access at the different prioritized points.
The installed infrastructure makes it easier for families to stay connected, access digital services and carry out daily tasks. It also strengthens the work of institutions such as Saime, Funvisis, health authorities, Civil Protection and response agencies, which require permanent connectivity for information recording, operational coordination and care for the population.
As part of this first phase, Cantv also activated connectivity and IP telephony services in the Single Health Authority camp and at strategic Civil Defense points, strengthening coordination between national and international teams participating in care and rescue efforts.
