The Venezuelan National Anonymous Telephone Company (CANTV) restored fixed telephone and Internet services to more than 12,700 subscribers in the Capital District, Miranda and La Guaira during the month of May, as part of the technical deployments carried out to address incidents in telecommunications networks.

The work made it possible to resolve faults recorded in networks and transmission equipment, responding to reports made by users through the VenApp of the 1x10 Good Governance System, details the press release of the state telephone company.

In the state of Miranda, approximately 6,300 incidents were treated in different sectors of the state. For its part, in the Capital District, services were restored to about 5,400 subscribers, while in La Guaira, around 900 residential and commercial users benefited.

The effects were associated with natural wear and tear of the networks, adverse weather conditions, as well as acts of theft, vandalism and damage caused by third parties. To restore connectivity, the Company's crews carried out preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in various sectors.

The maneuvers included the replacement of cables, strips, sleeves and connectors, in addition to the reconstruction of joints and the technical validation of the serviced lines.
