CANTV restored telephone and Internet services to more than 38,000 subscribers

During the month of May, the National Telephone Anonymous Company of Venezuela (CANTV) restored fixed telephone and Internet services to 38,902 subscribers across the country, through technical deployments carried out through the Comprehensive Breakdown Resolution Plan and the attention of reports channeled by the VenApp of the 1X10 Good Governance System.

The work made it possible to resolve incidents recorded in networks and transmission media affected by deterioration, theft, vandalism, weather conditions and damage caused by third parties. The Capital region concentrated the highest number of resolved cases, with 12,718 users served in La Guaira, Miranda and the Capital District.

In the Central region, services were restored to more than five thousand 300 subscribers, while in Los Llanos, more than five thousand incidents were treated; in the West, more than four thousand 100 users were favored; in the East, more than four thousand 200; in Guyana, more than three thousand 900 and in Los Andes, connectivity was restored to more than three thousand 400 subscribers.

The maneuvers carried out included preventive and corrective maintenance on networks and transmission equipment, replacement of cables and connectors, reconstruction of splices and verification of telephone lines, with the support of the People's Power and the Technical Telecommunications Boards (MTT).

The national Government, through the Ministry of People's Power for Science and Technology and its affiliated entity, CANTV, maintains permanent deployments throughout the national territory to guarantee access to telecommunications services in homes, institutions and productive sectors.
