Carabobo
dominated the IV Valida Nacional de Tiro Deportivo, with a total of 12 gold medals
, 7 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.
The match was
held in the immediate vicinity of the Valencia shooting range, where Douglas
Alejandro Gómez and Nicole Saavedra were the most outstanding athletes.
The 25-meter pistol tests, the Saavedra carabobeña
achieved a total accuracy score of 278 points and another 280 in speed in
the 3 series of competitions.
For his part, Gómez proved to prevail in three
events that he played. The first was in a 25-meter quick shooting gun where
he scored 264 points in precision and 274 in speed; while, in the 10-meter air gun test
for juvenile men, the 14-year-old shooter won
first place after totaling 558 points in 6 contested series, according to the Ministry of Sport press.
Meanwhile, Douglas Gómez Sr. triumphed in 25
meters of quick shooting pistol, adding 284 precision points and 295
speed points to a total of 538 points.
In addition, the Mirandino Aníbal Pérez won the gold
medal in the men's 10-meter air rifle test with 618.8 points;
while in the youth category of this event, Santiago Niño won the highest honors, totaling 603.6 in the 6 series that
were being played in the sport.
In the 10-meter men's air rifle, class SH2
(a disability that requires support to hold the rifle), Jean Arnetta took first place and
gave Caracas the only podium with 620.8 points.
In the women's championship, Dairene Márquez from Aragüeña claimed the gold with 229 units.
On the other hand, the Mirandina Diomaris Toro and the
Carabobeño Diego Oduber won the 10-meter air rifle with 589.4 and 233.6 points respectively.
Finally, Yaracuyan Rafael Ochoa dominated
with 561 points in a men's air pistol.
