Carabobo Governorate treats more than 200 families affected by earthquakes with a health day

The Government of Carabobo is holding a comprehensive health day aimed at benefiting more than 200 families affected by the double earthquake of last June 24 in the Caño Negro and El Minuto sectors, the most remote areas of the Juan José Mora municipality.

The activity is carried out in coordination with the Mayor's Office of the jurisdiction through the Carabobo Te Quiero Care Center for Children with Disabilities (CAI Carabobo), the 0800-Mustache and the Integrated Emergency System.

In this regard, published on her website Venezolana de Televisión, she points out that the mayor of the town, Emily Riera, expressed her gratitude to the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, and to the governor of the entity, Rafael Lacava, for making this framework of social protection possible in the most needy areas of the municipality.

“Today we bring not only medical care, we serve in all areas, our Bolivarian government deployed with an extraordinary team,” he said.

The operational deployment brought timely responses to these vulnerable communities because in the Caño Negro sector, a total of seven homes resulted in total loss, a critical situation in which public institutions immediately articulate the regular delivery of food, water storage tanks and specialized medical assistance at the site of the event itself.

Health care on this occasion had the direct support of pediatric doctors, trauma specialists, orthopedists, physiatrists, dentists and psychologists, a multidisciplinary team that addressed the physical and emotional needs of the inhabitants affected by the earthquake to ensure a comprehensive and humane diagnosis for each of the patients evaluated.

The importance of this approach in rural communities in the state of Carabobo was emphasized by the president of CAI Carabobo, Victoria Castañeda, who explained that specialized personnel remain in the territory with the purpose of providing an allied hand to vulnerable families and ensuring the restoration of living conditions for the population in the shortest possible time.
