Carabobo national team rises as National Judo Master Runner-up 2025

The Carabobo delegation once again demonstrated its strength in national judo by winning the runner-up in the 2025 National Master Judo Championship, which was held at the National Judo Center in Caracas.

This achievement positions Carabobo as one of the leading powers in this discipline. The Carabobeño team shone with a total of 12 medals, distributed in four gold, four silver and four bronze medals.

In addition, they scored important points with a fifth place and two seventh places, which highlights the high technical level of their athletes.

The gold medals went to:

Milagros Aguilar (-78 kg FC1)

Yojana Ollarves (-78 kg FC2)

Geovanny Gomez (-100 kg MC1)

Carlos Hernandez (-81 kg MC2)

The silver medals were won by:

Vilmal Escalona (-57 kg FC1)

Woeiner Fernandez (-73 kg MC1)

Jose Sanchez (-73 kg MC2)

Gustavo Ocanto (-73 kg MC3)

And the bronze medals were won by:

Ramon Villegas (-73 kg MC3)

Ronald Padilla (-90 kg MC1)

Victor Carmona (-90 kg MC2)

Jose Martinez (-100 kg MC2)

A notable case was that of Gustavo Ocanto, who not only coaches the team, but also won a silver medal in the category for more than 70 years, demonstrating his great commitment. It should be noted that the delegation had the organizational and logistical support of the Venezuelan Carlos Guillén.

This runner-up is a clear demonstration of Carabobo's commitment to the development of judo and the excellence of its master athletes, who with great discipline and perseverance raise the name of their state in the national sports field.
