CARABOBO - VALENCIA//President (E) Rodríguez: Government is working to strengthen the SEN at the national level

The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, assured that the Bolivarian Government is acting to strengthen electricity service at the national level.

In that regard, he argued that more than a decade of economic blockade and sanctions affected the operation of the National Electric System (SEN), “we couldn't go to Siemens, General Electric or Mitsubishi Electric to buy a transformer or even a screw.”

Referring to the overcompliance with sanctions, he stated that there are millions of cases of obstacles in the acquisition of supplies for the country, “of how they suffocated Venezuela, to its economic, political, cultural and social life. It suffocates our country to the maximum.”

“Venezuela's response was to march together, it was to go to a process gradually to a process of economic recovery. We didn't stay in the pit,” he said in Carabobo state, where he led the Great Pilgrimage for the Lifting of Sanctions and Peace, together with the entity's social and cultural sectors.
