With a daily deployment of more than 170 compactor units and minimatics, the Mayor's Office of Caracas maintains the collection of solid waste throughout the capital city through a rigorous system of organization and control.

All these vehicles leave and arrive at the La Romana Transfer Center, owned by the Supra Caracas company, located in the parish of Coche, where a record is kept of each unit, its weight, route, driver and the necessary data, which are systematized in the Monitoring and Control Room. Each of the units has GPS systems for tracking.

On average, two thousand tons of solid waste are collected daily, through organized routes, prioritized points and with an emphasis on the 21 main avenues of the capital city.

In addition, the sweeping teams, attached to the Mayor's Office of Caracas, remain in streets, avenues, squares, boulevards and different public spaces, to keep everything clean and in order.

For this reason, the reminder of the schedules for the deposit and collection of solid waste at the different points was extended from 6:00 to 7:00 in the morning and 5:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon.
