A total of 120 so-called sleeper parts have been replaced by the maintenance equipment of the Caracas Metro system, at the Colegio de Ingenieros station, in order to optimize the capital's transportation service.
This was reported by the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, who said on Sunday, 576 linear meters of rails were replaced.
The maneuvers carried out on the Line 1 railroad of the Caracas Metro began this Saturday, April 20, without interruption in service, with the activation of a Temporary Single Route (VUT) between Chacaíto and La Hoyada.
The workers are also continuing with the second phase of the Metro Move With You Plan, designed with the objective of fully rehabilitating the entire system. The execution of these tasks guarantees the safe passage of trains along Line 1, from where the service is provided to millions of users daily.
