Caracas Metro completes work on the railway lines between Colegio de Ingenieros and Plaza Venezuela

120 sleepers, 576 linear meters of rails were replaced, and calibration and cleaning work was carried out

The Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, announced that the work carried out from April 20 to 23 of the same month, on the railway lines between the Colegio de Ingenieros and Plaza Venezuela stations of the Caracas Metro was completed with total success.

“In record time, the workers of the Caracas Metro replaced 120 sleepers, 576 linear meters of rails on a continuous day, calibrated and cleaned,” said Velásquez Araguayán, during a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión.

He also assured that the two train routes were put into operation to continue providing good service to the people of Caracas, “following instructions from President Nicolás Maduro and directed by Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.”

The Minister indicated that these works are part of the Second Phase of the Metro Move With You Plan, with the purpose of improving all railway infrastructure, trains, among other areas.
