The Caracas Metro reported through an official statement that a wagon had been derailed in the area of the workshops located in Propatria. The company clarified that the unit involved was out of service at the time of the incident, so it was not moving users in the system.

After the incident was reported, the institution's maintenance teams were deployed in the area to carry out the recovery and clearing of the affected road. According to the preliminary technical report, the maneuvers were carried out without additional setbacks for the rest of the facilities.

The authorities of the underground transport system confirmed that there were no injuries or damage to third parties resulting from the situation. Specialized personnel began rigorous investigations to determine the technical causes that caused the derailment in the workshop yard.
