Caracas transport sector meets with mayoral candidate Carmen Meléndez

Carmen Meléndez, candidate for the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) for mayor of Caracas, met with representatives of this transport sector with the main objective of listening to their proposals

The candidate for re-election highlighted the hardworking spirit of the people of Caracas. “It's four in the morning and there's already movement. Caracas is small in territory, but very large in mobilization,” he said.

He said that the mayor's office will provide constant support to the transport sector to ensure a decent and efficient service for working people. “Our president Nicolás Maduro wants us in the territory, not on the desk. Here we are making commitments to resolve and solve what they need. We will do this work organized through the Communal Self-Government Chambers,” he said.

The candidate stressed that they will work together with the carriers to draft new ordinances that respond to their real needs. He added that intelligent stop projects are being developed, with the purpose of providing greater safety and comfort to public transport users.
