Caracas will host the Assembly of the Peoples for the Peace of Our America

This Tuesday, December 9, the Peoples Assembly for Peace and Sovereignty of Our America is installed in Caracas, which will run until Thursday, December 11 and is organized by the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, through the Simon Bolivar Institute for Peace and Solidarity between Peoples, and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).
La international event is in the Venezuela Hall of the Military Circle, which will bring together national and international guests from all continents.
La installation includes a cultural event, the presentation of a microphone on the context of the creation of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, and the reading of the basic political document of the Assembly, in addition to keynote presentations by international experts.
Durante the day, the installation of the thematic discussion tables is scheduled: Bolivarianism Vs. Monroism. “Peace vs. Militarization of Latin America and the Caribbean; Economic War and Political Extortion. “Unilateral Coercive Measures, Punitive Tariffs and Financial Asphyxiation against Peoples”; Voices of the New World Against Cognitive Warfare. “Truth as a territory in global dispute”; Human Dignity and Ecological Sovereignty. “Migration, Environmental Justice, and Resistance to Global Supremacy”; Union of the Peoples of the Global South. “New World Order vs. Imperialism and Neofascism”; and Generation Genius against the Generation Z label “Youth, Sovereignty and Shared Future”.
El program establishes the closing plenary session for Wednesday 10, while Thursday, December 11, is the setting for the great Concert for the Peace and Sovereignty of Our America, in the state of La Guaira, with invited musical groups from the Caribbean.
La People's Assembly represents a platform to continue raising the complaint and adding voices against the dangerous military deployment of the United States in the Caribbean Sea, which, under the pretext of fighting drug trafficking, threatens the stability and security of the entire region, declared as a Zone of Peace by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) in 2014.
