The Carlos Cruz-Diez Print and Design Museum
(MEDI) inaugurated the
exhibition “Graphic Memory 100 Years”, an exhibition that pays
homage to the artistic legacy of the master Luis Guevara Moreno (1926-2010) on the occasion of the centenary of his birth.
In this
regard, the museum's curator, María Sequera, explained that the exhibition offers a
journey through the artistic evolution of Guevara Moreno and allows us to appreciate the
development of his graphic work, characterized by technical experimentation and
constant aesthetic search.
He also
highlighted that the exhibition brings together 60 works organized chronologically,
which cover the artist's different creative stages, from his first
explorations to the consolidation of his visual language.
In addition,
he indicated that the selection highlights his mastery of techniques such as etching,
aquatint, drypoint and lithography, fundamental to his career as an engraver.
The exhibition will remain open in Room 4 of the Carlos Cruz-Diez Print and Design Museum, located on Paseo Vargas in Caracas. The museum welcomes visitors Tuesday through Wednesday from 9:00am to 5:00pm; Thursday and Friday from 2:00pm to 7:00 pm; and Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Admission is free.
