Until noon this Monday, the National Electoral Council (CNE) has awarded 26,492 men and women who were elected, this Sunday, as principal and alternate justices of the peace.

This was reported by the vice-president of the electoral body, Carlos Quintero, who explained in a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) that this number represents 93% of those elected in the votes held on December 15.

In this regard, he explained that the CNE has deployed an automated system throughout the country for the electoral commissions of the communal circuits to register the winners with the images of the respective minutes, so that the national totalization room can validate the data reflected by the commissions.

“We are going to be awarding 28,486 charges. Today, in all the states of the country, we are carrying out the proclamation process, in the regional offices of the National Electoral Council,” said Quintero, while stressing that when the judges of the peace are finalized, a training process will begin by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).

In the same way, he emphasized that these justices of the peace will help resolve conflicts in the community without having to go to the judicialization of cases. “This is how peace is strengthened from the grassroots, from the communities and it makes it clear that our country is deeply convinced that the transformations of the State will take place through participation, the popular vote,” he said.
