Carmen Meléndez: We are humanists, supportive and we have the blood of warriors

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, highlighted this Saturday the blood of warriors that Venezuelans have and the solidarity that characterizes them in the world.

“We don't have a warrior's mind to go out and accompany a war abroad. We are humanists, supportive and we have in our blood the blood of warriors, the blood of warriors of our original peoples, the blood of our liberators, of our heroes and heroines who left us free, sovereign, independent,” he said during the day of military enlistment in the capital.

He stressed that in this call made by President Nicolás Maduro, we who love the Fatherland, those of us who love the Fatherland, those of us who love the Fatherland, went out to enlist. There is no political color here right now. We are going for that national union to defend the homeland that feels threatened and that we are willing to do anything to defend it.”
